I should be most grateful if someone could tell me whether there are any BURIALS at TUDDENHAM ST MARY in the name of STEVENS 1757 to say 1800.
Many thanks.

A Mary Stevens - no age shown - was buried 25.4.1775 but at Tuddenham St Martins

In case this helps you the Suffolk Burial Index includes one more piece of info re the burial of Mary Stevens 25 Apr 1775 (as quoted above by CaroleW) - her abode was Bentley.
There are two Stevens burials in Bentley around the same time
William Stevens 10 Dec 1770
Aaron Stevens 28 May 1779
plus some later ones - Jonathan & Dorothy (late Porter) & two of their children - Lydia & Sarah.

Many thanks for your help. Do you mean that there are no Stevens burials at Tuddenham St Mary ?

There are no Stevens burials at Tuddenham St. Mary I'm afraid.

There is this one
Mary STEVENS (spinster) buried 13 Mar 1770 Barton Mills, St Mary, just north of Tuddenham.
There are several more burials in the parish in the name STEVENS c1710-1770 Starting with children of a couple John & Mary & then children of a couple Moses & Elisabeth.

For clarity, its worth bearing in mind that Tuddenham St Martin is north east of Ipswich and Tuddenham St Mary is north west of Bury St Edmunds. ;)
So the Tuddenham St Martin and Bentley burials are unlikely to have anything to do with, although not impossible, a family at Tuddenham St Mary.

Many thanks for these suggestions.
Robert Stevens was baptised at Tuddenham St. Mary in 1757. Parents Robert and Mary (probably married at Mildenhall in 1755). No other children found. I am trying to discover what happened to them.

A Robert Stevens and wife Mary had children baptised at Wisbech, Cambridgeshire (about 40 miles from Tuddenham St. Mary):
Elizabeth bp.22/4/1760
Mary bp.14/12/1761
Edward bp.12/12/1763
Samuel bp.25/6/1765
Can't see a Robert and Mary marrying in Cambridgeshire so wonder if this could be your couple.

Thank you so much. These are new to me and I am really grateful for the suggestion. Sounds a real possibility but so far unable to see anything to confirm the connection. There is an 1808 will but that does not really help.

Just realised that Robert and Mary had a son called Robert in 1766 so looks as if this is a false trail !
