1911 census shows a family of Thomas and Mary Lawrence in Islington. Lists 3 children. Henry, Florence (Married: Thomas Sheehan), and Jennie (Married: Albert Bibb) and another child Rosie crossed out at the bottem. I can find records again of the two married women with their husbands in the same census but none for Henry and his wife, or the girl Rosie who is crossed out.
Any idea of how to find the other two in the census and how to follow the families after the 1911 census?
-
Rosie is crossed out because she isn't at home. Finding another entry will depend on whether she was listed at the place she really stayed on the night.
There is a Rose Lawrence 18yo in Kingston Surrey, but her place of birth is West Ham.

< A tree has him married to Nellie Ellen Howe in 1907 >
I guess this is a mistake if he was born in 1902!
edit - see he was actually b c1882

How do i see this tree? Is it on Ancestry?
Thanks for your help guys!! This sounds very promising.

I found a marriage certificate for a Henry William Lawrence (son of Thomas) and Nellie Ellen Howe, their marriage is witnessed by Thomas and Florence Sheehan so i would think this is the Henry i am looking for.

Would the two census entries below be more likely a double entry or two different families? Any way of knowing? There are so many similarity's. I am sure this (http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1911England&h=1978481&ti=5538&indiv=try&gss=pt&ssrc=pt_t73826967_p44328191584_kpidz0q3d44328191584z0q26pgz0q3d32768z0q26pgplz0q3dpid) is the family i want but not sure which one they are in the 1891 census. Any insight?

Just to clarify (as the Ancestry links won't work for everyone) - you are asking if this family in Islington
Thomas Lawrence 32 - bricklayer's labourer
Mary A Lawrence 32
Henry Lawrence 9
Florence Lawrence 5
Jane Lawrence 3
Emily Davey Lawrence 3
RG12, 163, 51, 32
and this in Faversham
Thomas H Lawrence 36 - plumber, painter, glazier b Bridge, kent
Mary A Lawrence 34 - b Preton, Kent
William H Lawrence 12 - b Coperinge, Kent
Frances E Lawrence 10 - b Faversham
Emma D Lawrence 3 - b Faversham
William J Luckhurst 30
RG12, 714, 72, 22
both frmo 1891 are the same. i think not. I can follow the Kent chap through to 1901 and 1911
-
Yes thats right, thank you.
There was just a lot of similarities. The first family in Islington is the one i am trying to trace backwards (Rosie, who is crossed out of the 1911 census is my ggrandmother i believe) but cant find them past the 1891 census.
-
Here they are in 1901 - Bride st, Holloway. All listed as b Holloway
Thomas Lawrence 46 - married, bricklayer
Henry Lawrence 20 - bricklayer's labourer
Jane Lawrence 13
Rose M Lawrence 7
RG13, 174, 87, 13
-
Thank you :D
Here they are in
1891 (before Rosie's birth)
Thomas Lawrence 32
Mary A Lawrence 32
Henry Lawrence 9
Florence Lawrence 5
Jane Lawrence 3
Emily Davey Lawrence 3
But thats where i lose them.
