Title: Aidebrook Road, Streatham
Post by: sherlock1207 on Thursday 18 December 14 16:47 GMT (UK)
An excessively-named relative Henry Charles Riseborough Sharman is listed in 1901 with his family living at Aidebrook Road, Streatham. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but I can't find Aidebrook Road or similar on a map. Any thoughts please?

A lot could have happened since 1901 - roads demolished to make way for new traffic systems, roads re-named, not to mention bombing in the war.
A lot of 1901 roads are no longer around in the same form today.

I think there is an Alderbrook Road in Streatham.

Added: and that seems to be where they are in 1901.  If you browse backwards or forwards a page or two you will see the name more clearly written.
