I am trying to find information on the NAPPER family of Hagbourne, particularly on the family of Willaim Napper who was at the 'Fleur De Lys'. He died in 1860, but I have no other information on him or his family, other than his wife was Ann (died 1852), and that they may be buried at St. Andrew's, Hagbourne. Is any one able to access any information on this family - such as the Parish records. I would be most obliged for any help able to be given.

Hi these appear to be the records for the burials:-
Ann Napper 28th July 1852 St Andrew's, Hagbourne aged 66
William Napper 3rd October 1860 St Andrew's, Hagbourne aged 75

PS I note in 1851 Ann is calling herself Mary Ann

Hi Towaninnie,
There are a lot of "Napper" entries for baptisms in Hagbourne but for William there are two within
the time scale that is relevant;
26-12-1813 William Napper s/o William & Ann, smith
27-4-1828 " " " John & Martha, carpenter, WH (West Hagbourne or Hanney ?)
Burials in addition to those submitted by Keyboard;
5-9-1883 William Napper (69) of Hagbourne
7-3-1860 John Napper, (69)
5-7-1862 Martha " (68)
30-1878 John " (73) Nth Hagbourne
6-11-1878 Ann " (74) Hagbourne
Taken from the transcripts issued by the Oxfordshire FHS.
There is no entry for a Wm.Napper to Ann?? marriage. Are you able to give any more info?

Hi again,
There is a marriage in the neighbouring parish of Sutton Courtenay;
18-6-1878 William Napper to Ann Chiles
wits; Benjn Tubb, John Crutch
No obvious baptism for either in SC.
Hope this helps.
