Hi everyone ,
Ive been trying to trace my great great grandfathers family. From gatehouse of fleet area , Its proving to be a bit of a challenge. His name was David Black , born roughly 1887 to a mother Mary registered Back street girthon. . David was an illegitimate child and Mary registered herself as farm servant. I have Davids war records he was in the 2nd lifeguards. Where did Mary go? Did David grow up with her as on his records it states mother Mary address unknown. But it does look like olr bro George written. He married a ester attridge. Any help would be greatly appreciated
