Title: Decoding merchant shipping short symbols

 Hi Folks,
  would any one be able to decipher this detail about a ship- apparently it contains ship name,port abbreviation, and other info?  cant make sense of it.. thanks :-\

I can make out Oregon...Liverpool and Quebec.

   That's a start - Ship must have been called Oregon, sailing Liverpool - Quebec-Liverpool.

Could you give us the name of the person you are researching together with the timescale and an indication of where they resided.
There was a vessel with the name OREGON around in 1845, registered in Penzance.
