Title: Robert McNeil Shaw born Paisley 15 Sep 1919 or 1920

I am looking for family history details for Robert McNeil Shaw born in Paisley in 1919 or 1920.  I am a member of Ancestry.com and am well familiar with tracing England and Wales roots but this is the first time I have had to look towards Scotland and am struggling to know where to search.  Can anyone help / advise, please?  Regards, Roger Evans

You need  the Scotlands People site.   Free to register and search but you have to pay to view the records  http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk

Edit - The records for 1919 can only be ordered rather than viewed online

If you know his parent's names you can search for their marriage on Scotlandspeople as Kay said
The statutory records for marriage lets you view records up to 1938. It costs £7.00 to buy 30 credits it will take 1 credit to search and 5 to view the record where  you can download the image ..That will give you their parents names also their occupation and where they were living and you will still have credits left for further searches  :)
