Please can anyone help me to decipher the following from this marriage certificate?
https://flic.kr/p/q1cBAn (link is to my other halves Flickr account)
The maiden name of James Sutherland's mother?
Everything about Elizabeth, Isabella Milne's mother? ???
I have tried wildcard searches in the Scottish records, but without luck :(
Thanks so much

James Sutherland's mother's maiden name was Forbes.
-
Maiden surname of James Sutherland's mother is Forbes.
Elizabeth Thomson, formerly Milne, maiden name ?? possibly begins S.
So she was married three times, it seems.

Isabella's mother I think was Elizabeth Thomson, formerly Milne, m[aiden] s[urname] Thorn (dead).
-
Elizabeth would have been married only twice, would she not?

My correction at names of witnesses...John ADAM is incorrect, should be Catherine ADAM)

William Milne 25 agr. lab.
Elisabeth Milne 20
Isabel Milne 1
Address: Tamachalish, Aboyne and Glentannar

Wondering whether Elizabeth's maiden name could have been THAIN, going by this marriage/banns entry here https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XTN2-1MX
Trying to find a possible remarriage entry for Elizabeth to a Thomson. Thought Alexander Thomson Snr. with whom Isabel Milne shows as living with in 1851, from the entry posted above by wivenhoe, may have been a possibility but FreeCen show him as married not widowed.

You beat me to it Monica...we were posting the same info at the same time!
Isabella's mother's name was Elizabeth Thain
-
Good we agree, Anne :)
A check of Isabel's death cert, if she died in in Scotland would also help to reconfirm the surname forElizabeth, Yogi. Struggling to find anything further for her so far.

Yes I am sure it says her maiden name was Thain, peviously Milne but must have remarried to become Elizabeth Thomson.
She was deceased at time of this 1859 marriage

Does this help

Elizabeth would have been married only twice, would she not?
