Title: Ossory Gray
Post by: Lcg on Sunday 30 November 14 20:47 GMT (UK)
Evenin all. I am a direct descendant of Ossery Gray. Whose father was also Ossery I believe. And his father was Thomas? Not sure if this is correct but would be keen to speak to someone who may have more info.
Thanks

A public tree on Ancestry has his marriage record to Ann Riches, with the following information:
Ozrea Gray, of this parish, a private in the Cambridgeshire Militia and Ann Riches of this parish, single woman, married by banns, both signed with a mark, witnessed by Phillip Blyth and John Barwood.

Thankyou for your replies. How intruiging. I'd no idea Orzea/Ossory was in the army?
I would love to find out more and perhaps go back even further. So Ossory was the son of Thomas. I wonder if I could go back to see Who Thomas's father was?
3 generations on from Ossory my family became travelling showman which we remain to be today.
I'd love to be able to find any pictures that might exist of my anscestors but know that's a long shot.
