Hi Judy, the discharge papers for Private James Westbrook show:-

Enlisted Brighton, Sussex 30th March 1800 born Werl, Hampshire Served 26 years and 204 days aged at attestation 19 discharged 19th October 1826 due to unfit for service in consequence of being worn out and length of service.

Served in the 14th ( or D Y O ) Lt Dragoons in the Napoleonic Wars

Battles & Sieges at which the presence of each claimants has been verified by the board:-
Talavara, Basacu? Badajoz, Vittoria, Pyrenees, Orthes (Excuse possible spelling, original not to good)!

I can only locate a Private Robert Mardell who served in the 1/49th Foot in the Napoleonic War Index he enlisted 25th April 1802 ( No record to view unfortunately)

Battles & Sieges at which the presence of each claimants has been verified by the board:-

Chrysthus Farm?

Battle of Crysler's Farm/Field (1813) - the Military General Service medal issued in 1848/9 spelt it Chrysler's Farm on the clasp. It was part of the British success to repel an invasion by US forces. Known as the St Lawrence Campaign.
