Title: County Cavan veterans in WWI -
Post by: mairenibhruaidheodha on Sunday 16 November 14 00:38 GMT (UK)
Where could one find a list of veterans from Co. Cavan who went to WWI.  Grand-uncle was killed, no records other than his medals were returned to family home and destroyed.  Don't have date of birth, only address.

It is probably a good idea to just post his name on here and get someone to look him up.
He will have a medal card and because he died in service a commonwealth war grave (sometimes there are great details on them like age of death) Also a general google for Cavan and his name might uncover something

Here is the link to the war graves
