Sorry I have no idea why this appears pixilated - the image was HUGE - but  300dpi so I'm intrigued.

But at least you can see the person more clearly.

Bet someone else knows what to do - I don't.   ;)

Hi Wiggy...My software says 120ppi and the file size is only 44kb
I gave it a go but as Wiggy says...it's very pixelated and a lot of fine detail has been lost in the smoothing out. Removed...not happy with it.

Wow great stuff
I know fine well my old Aunt, will be over the moon with these and the other family stuff you kind people have fixed for me. On the war memorial project, that many of you have helped me with, I held a wee display in the Local Church hall after our memorial service on Sunday, I had many of the pictures you kind people have fixed on display with many other Soldiers pictures from the village, It was great to hear so many of the older people there discuss who was who , and who worked with his son and so on, Thanks for saving and making so many of these people easily recognisable by your work.

Thanks People
You are all so kind

Cheers Matt

I think you are doing your bit too to preserve the memories of the many brave soldiers who fought for our freedom...and those who didn't make it.

I have coloured WW1 postcards of Black Watch, Highlanders and Gordons if they are any use to you.
I am doing exhibition boards for the local Servicemen and Women who served in WW1 too.....very rewarding...and sometimes heart breaking when you read the stories of those who suffered from Shell Shock and were admitted to mental Institutions on their return... many of them never fully recovered.  :-\

That would be fantastic Carol
We have been doing our rounds in The schools as well, they love the pictures, But when the artifacts come out the kids eyes light up, I had a full 15 pounder shell on the display at the Church hall after rem Sunday, the weight of it was disturbing, When people find out that THIS is a real shell and see the lead balls that where packed into them,It  hits home. Wonderment quickly turns to dismay, when they think of the soldiers facing such instruments of death.
Any pictures to help us educate and show people the history, would be superb Carol.
Many Thanks
Matt
