Emily is at 1901. Piece 565; Folio 119 Page 11
With her parents Frederick and Lizzie and siblings in Plumstead
As you say births to this couple can't be found :-\
What was his occupation?

I thought you couldn't find any of the family.
So presumably the two sisters were in Belgium in 1911?
-
sorry about that with all the little info i have got on them i have not long found her sister death record which gave me her date of birth, it took a bit of time finding her because of the spelling of her name Philomana

Yes I saw Philomena's marriage - in her late 30s. She was with her father and Emily in electoral rolls but Emelie would be married.
I just realised that you have her marrying John Hughes in 1939 but I see her marrying John Robert's in 1931. ???
-
yes i saw them as well that how I found their father name but have not found emelie(emily) any where
not even her death to found out when she was born. Sorry it is john Roberts and not john hughes as both of her grandmother was called emily
-
Does your friend not know her grandmother's death. Online death indexes have a cut off at 2007, I think.
Do you have Emilie's marriage certificate? Was she older than Philomena?
-
As Emelia Maria Roberts, married woman, she was one of the executors of her father's will in 1959 (the other being Emily Maud Colen, widow).
-
They were John C and Emelie P Roberts in the 1954-59 electoral rolls (30 Warland Rd, Woolwich).
-
no, that side of the family was not close, she has little memory of them, as when she was 5 years old her parents spilt up and her mum's mum looked after her, she does not even known if her parents are still alive. She will have to get their marriage ceft when she get back from Holiday

The certificate may give a bit of information but perhaps not much.
It doesn't look as though Belgian records are easily available.

ok thanks for the help, I will have to wait for her to come home
