Hi, there has always been a family legend that on my mother's side there was a person of Indian origin. That tree goes back via Fanny Parris and her husband George Broad and then George Parris and Eleanor Fremlin. So far I haven't found anyone born outside of Britain. Does anyone have any information to support this rumour?? Were there many people of Indian ancestry in this area of Britain in the 1700-1800s?
