Do you mean a death registration as below?

Bertha G Knowles aged 65 Death registered December 1964 Bristol  7b    30

Or do you mean an obituary in a local newspaper?

What do you mean by a death notice?

If you mean the GRO index ref, then it is -

Death
Dec 1964
Bristol
Ref 7b 30
Bertha G Knowles
Age 65

There is also a Probate index entry-
Bertha Goddard Knowles of 129c Pembroke Rd Clifton Bristol died 20 Oct 1964 at the Royal Infirmary Bristol Administration to Bertha Catherine Knowles widow

As it is Administration not Probate it means there was not a Will


Or did you mean an obituary in a newspaper?
