Title: Treasured Photograph
Post by: Davemed on Friday 24 October 14 07:05 BST (UK)
I found a treasured photograph of my late wife which I took about fifteen years ago.  I wish to frame it.

At the time I thought black and white was the best choice.
Could you please colour this photograph for me ?

She had a fair complexion, mid brown mousy hair going grey, her eyes were very pale blue near to grey, her jumper was light grey, pearl drop earrings, sitting in a armchair with a light magnolia wall in the background.

Thank you.

Davemed.

Hello maggbill,

Haven't been on the website for a few months.

Thanks for your lovely message about my late wife.  She died on the 12th August this year and as you can imagine I miss her.

David.

What a happy photo for memories, Dave.

Can't do colour I'm afraid - just sharpened it up a bit.

Applied some transformation to correct 'apparent skew'.  Will delete if thought to be excessive.

To All for the excellent work on my late wife's photograph.

Please accept my thanks for what you have done in making me a happy man.

I have selected the one I liked best ( not saying ) and it is now printed and framed and on display.  The others are in my family archives for posterity.

Thank you all again.

Kindest Regards.

David.

Hi, here is a coloured version for you. I hope its ok for you and brings back memories though I do not know how close the colour is to what you took originally.

Really nice Aladdin, many thanks.

The colouring is really close and brilliant.  The original was black and white now lost.  Just a scanned version from years ago.

Hi David, I am pleased it is close to how you remember. Such a shame the original is lost, it could be a much better colourisation. Never mind, we must work with what we have available.
