I am trying to find out if Joseph Currall md to a Clara Currall (nee Colefield) emigrated to Australia between 1901 (last UK census, living in Wavertree, Liverpool with his mother Elizabeth and siblings) and 1911 as I cannot find him on any UK Census. He was born in 1874 to parents Joseph Currall (b. 1846) and Eliza ! (Elizabeth) Chamberlain b. 1848 Queensferry, Cork, Ireland. They married in Cork but Joseph was born in Portsmouth, UK. They then lived in Northampton and lastly in Liverpool.
The 1901 Census shows Joseph living with his mother and Clara living with her parents with their children. On the 1911 Census I can find Clara Currall, Joseph Hugh Currall and Dorothy Clara Currall living with her sister in Poulton with Seacombe, Cheshire and she is described as married living on 'Private Means'.
I can also find Clara moving between the UK and Australia with her children a couple of times but nothing for Joseph. Cannot find a registered death either :-(
If anyone can help I would be very grateful, thank you in advance
regards

Can I ask please why Australia and not any of the other possible countries, did he have relies here? Also with him leaving his wife there is the possibility of assumed names and actually not wanting to be found.

Well-found Neil :)
Interesting that the notice was in W.A. papers.
I see there is a marriage on W.A. BDM http://www.bdm.dotag.wa.gov.au/
1920 Joseph H CURRALL to Mary C.A. CAHILL at Northam reg 4
The newspaper announcement of marriage http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article27674339 refers to him as Harold, second son of Mr and Mrs A.E. CURRALL of Warwickshire England
adding:
A Joseph Harold CURRALL died in 1979 aged 89 - burial here http://www2.mcb.wa.gov.au/NameSearch/details.php?id=KC00061988

I think the Joseph CURRALL whose will is in question is the one who died 3 October 1908 in England,
CURRALL Joseph, of Laurel Grove, Sheldon Warwickshire and of Icknield Port Road, Birmingham, contractor, died 3 Oct 1908 at Laurel Grove. Probate Birmingham 25 November to John Joseph HACKETT secretary and director of Currall Lewis and Martin Ltd and to Edward Henry LEE solicitor. Effects 34078 pounds.
John Joseph HACKETT and Edward Henry LEE are the people mentioned as contesting the will.
