There are many tools available on the internet - try http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup

It is not possible for you to identify a person from an IP address. All you can get is the general geographical location of the server.

Hi

One of the tools on here ( IP Information ) should give a cross ref of something you MAY recognise

www.dnsstuff.com/

If it is your domain/server on which the "breakin" was attempted, you should be able to code a bounce if that source ip tries it again.
