Trying to trace a birth or marriage record for a Catherine Brickland who died in 1934 apparently aged 123 years old and was burried in Ballycommon.
I have seen several newspaper articles claiming her to be Offaly's oldest woman. Unfortunately I don't have her maiden name, 1901 and 1911 census puts her at about 90+ when she died, I know she had at least 2 children Peter and Elizabeth.
Any ideas as to how I would go about trying to trace her birth/marriage records without knowing her maiden name. I'm in the UK and rely on looking on ancestry and familysearch but to no avail.
Many thanks
Debbie

There is a post on Ancestry that appears to be her son Peters baptism, which says her maiden name was Pendergast, do you know when her son was born?

If this is Peter in 1901 http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/King_s_Co_/Ballycommon/Ballycommon/1470944/
That that baptism may be correct

If that is the correct Peter Brickland then here's the marriage of his parents-

Added- google brings up a long thread on another forum which indicates the OP might originally have been given all this information (and more) :-\

Or maybe not if this is Elizabeth

I must learn to pay more attention to user names.

I could look for that thread and read it but I was too lazy.
RootsIreland has an Elizabeth born 1865 a Peter born 1869 to John Bricklands and Catherine Pendergast in Daingean (RC)
