The only marriage record I can find for John PHILLIPS in 1850 is one to Anne TILFORD at the Anglican Church at either Mudgee or Gulgong.
Where did you source your information eg the actual date of their marriage.

What is the age of your great grandmother Minnie on her marriage certificate and death certificate?
Cando
-
that is WICKED ;D ;D .I never thought she had brothers and sisters , I have a copy of Minnies death cert and it tells me that Minnie was 29 when she married Thomas McDonald , born in Tasmania , I also have a copy of her marriage cert and it says she was 25,and is a widow ,so I looked and found her married to Thomas Roger Pearce in 1879 and widowed 1881 they had a son John James born 1880 , I have found quite a few age differences but it does say on birth cert for my gdad Neil McDonald that she could not write or read and the x is her mark .
-
When and in which State did these events take place?
Would you please type up ALL the information on Minnie and Thomas McDONALD 's marriage certificate.
Information on death certificates is often inaccurate. Depends on the knowledge of the informant.
Were and when was your grandfather Neil McDONALD born?
Cheers :)

Is this the death of your Minnie McDONALD?
1931 / 6993 McDONALD Minnie 75yrs
and 55 years in New Zealand....so about 20 years old at arrival?
I think the first marriage certificate would be useful to you as it might have a Phillips as witness.
Where is Minnie buried?

Hi, I think I might be researching the same Phillips family as you. I have only just started looking at this branch so don't have any certificates yet but at the moment I have - James Phillips married Sarah Ann Horne Hobart Tasmania 25 Feb 1874. I think he could be the son of John and Bridget Grady/Grailey/Graley. James and Sarah Ann lived in Wanganui and had their first child in Wanganui in 1875.
There is a Bridget Phillips died 1888 aged 65 in Wanganui and from articles on Papers Past I think this is 'our' Bridget. I have not found where she is buried yet.
