I have been searching for a William James and an Ann? marriage without success.
William was born in Plymouth and Ann was born in Gwennap. They lived in Gwennap then later moved to Camborne with their eldest son William who was born 1848 in Gwennap.
In the 1871 census William age 5O tin miner and Ann aged 46 are living at Stray Park lane Camborne with son William 23 born Gwennap and their younger children who were born in Camborne.
1881 census has William age 61 and Ann B aged 53 living in Pengigon.

Welcome to Rootschat.
If you get a Childs Birth Cert it will give you Anns maiden name.
I will see if I can find anything for you in the meantime.

I have found them in 1851 with William age 3.
Unable to find them so far in 1861 Census.
It worries me that there is such a gap with the Childrens ages in 1871 Census so William may have married 2 Anns.
1881 Ann is down as Ann B James
Got to sign out now :)

Hi MeGeeDee
It's not the same family as the OP described in 1871. William James was stated to be born in Devon not Camborne. Joseph and Nicholas and their parents William and Ann and some younger children are in Camborne in 1871 St Martin's Parish. ED6 Household 26, Piece 2324 Folio 65 p.5. I think that couple may be William James and Ann Hodge who married in 1847 at St Hilary as that William's father was called Joseph. Both men were miners. Ann Hodge was under 21 at date of marriage. Her father was John.
I agree with Trish. There may be two marriages. The other people in the household are both called Hand and it it stated that Maria Hand is James mother. Born about 1803 at Gwennap. Maria Chapel was a widow when she married William Hand in 1841 but she said her father was called John Pollard. Henry Chapel and Maria Pollard married in 1832 at Gwinear. This looks like William's mother in law not his mother.

Possibility? Family search has a marriage between William James and Ann Buzza 29 Jul 1849 at Gwennap. Maybe where Ann B 1881 comes into it.

Unfortunately Maryanne's suggestion turns out to be Marriage Banns. No marriage took place on July 29th at Gwennap but it was the date Banns were called for the third time. Both parties were of the parish. There is no GRO entry for a James/Buzza marriage in 1849 but the names William James and Ann Buzza do appear with three other couples in the Dec Q 1850 in the Redruth District, Volume 9 p.324.
There is no record of a Wm James / Ann Buzza marriage in the Gwennap Register for late September to Dec. The OPC Database does not have any record of the marriage. The only way to find out if William James did marry Ann Buzza and not one of the other women listed under the reference is to buy the certified copy of the entry of marriage. Their are many other places in the Redruth District where they could have married including non-comformist chapels or the Register Office.

if that marriage did take place, there is a baptism in Gwennap on the opc site for
William Henry Buzza bp 13 Nov 1848 base son of Ann, abode Little Trevince
Opc site also has a baptism for Ann Buzza 8 Jan 1826, daughter of Charles & Anne of Cusgarne in Gwennap, Charles being a miner.
http://www.cornwall-opc-database.org/search-database/person-search/
has entries for Ann's siblings, & for baptism, marriage & burial for
A birth cert for one of the children would confirm Ann'a maiden name. Go for one of the less common ones
Possible?
Charles James dec qtr 1863 Redruth vol 5c pg 288
or
John James june qtr 1868 Redruth vol 5c pg 292 - not so many Johns registered in the district as I thought there would be.

The William Henry Buzza 1848 baptism is an interesting idea, especially since Ann is Ann B in the 1881 census and it is a good idea for a birth certificate for one of her other sons. :)
Added : Still unable to find family in 1861.
