Extra information on that marriage from the licence states he was a widower and she was a spinster.

There is also a burial for Thomas Ledger at Clayworth 11.1.1831 aged 84
This could be his baptism

There is also a Francis baptised to John in 1745, who could be the Francis who was bondsman on the marriage licence

Hi Carol
Everything you have given me is brilliant,I tried to update my original question by changing a status and adding a name,I apologize if it came across as something different.
I started my search several years ago after my father died but never really got started, just over 4 weeks ago my aunty, dads older sister died at 100 years 8 months, this has spurred me on as at her funeral the nephews and nieces talked about were our family came from so I've. Made a start
Once again thankyou
Cheers
Geoff.
