I find I'm descended from Mary Ann Trollope, b Horningsham 1839. She married Luke Ford. Ancestry shows many Trollopes connected with Horningsham. I can't help wondering if Anthony Trollope had a family connection with the Horningsham Trollopes. Does any reader know?

Hi I am a relative of Mary ann and luke Ford I have an Anthony george trollip born 1911 and died 1912 I'm researching him more as I'm not too sure if he is part of my line still.
The problem with the trollop family is there were 2 Jacob Trollops who were head of the family in the same area at the same time so I have found 2 trollops / trollips/ Trollope that people have added to their trees and they are not from the same family line.
I have managed to get as far back as Lebbeus Trollop but struggling to find his parents

Any particular reason for wondering apart from the surname?
The author was born 1815 London & died 1882 London & you are researching somebody b 1839 Wiltshire so you would need to research backwards from 1839 to establish if there was a connection.
Who was Mary Ann's father & where & when was he born? The 1839 marriage cert should give his name or check www.familysearch.org

Welcome to rootschat Jessica 90.
This is quite an old post by Jimson and they don't appear to have been on here since 2019. Hopefully they will get an email telling them that you have replied on their post.

Thank you I hope so 🙏

Sorry, Jessica90, but my interest is in my relatives, the Fords of Chapmanslade. I found Luke Ford and visited Horningsham. I found a number of Trollope gravestones and wondered about an Anthony connection. Just curiosity, I'm afraid.
