I'm not quire sure what your after but his birth certificate would give you both his parents names providing the father was listed

Our fathers name was Terence *******. My eldest brother and I were adopted by the same family and Kevin was adopted by another family who apparently moved to scotland. I believe he joined the British Army and was posted to Germany. My brother and I are trying to find Kevin.

Hi Carrliz
Have you tried the GRO contact register?
https://www.gov.uk/adoption-records/the-adoption-contact-register
There's also a topic here
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=261434.0
Have you tried locating his adopted parents? Do they have other children?
His surname is not that common in the grand scheme of things.
As you know his name after adoption, you can apply for a copy of his adoption certificate which will have their names on it if you don't know. You can get the reference numbers required from the GRO adopted childrens index at any of the 7 locations around the country who host the index.
If you can't get to the index, send me a pm about him and I can check for you next time I'm out and about.
