In 1891, Ruby Lystra PEARCE, is listed in Cornwall on the census as being born in New Zealand.
A google of her name, gives a result for Methven Rakaia and Springburn Births and she is listed on there.
Is there more information available please ?
Her father is John Commons PEARCE born St Agnes Cornwall, 1847. I loose track of him between 1871 and 1891.
He has a wife Ellen Martha Unknown ( possibly CARLISLE ? as a son is named William Carlisle ), born Ireland 1865.
I cannot find a marriage for him in England ( so far ). In 1911, he states on census he has been married 23 years, which is around 1888, so a possible marriage in New Zealand.
Thank you

:) :) :) :)
Thank you so much Janette.
I was wondering what John's occupation was over there ( he was tin miner in Cornwall on previous census ), mining or working on the railways were my main considerations, not the butchery, ( although it's his father's and grandfather's trades and his on his return ).
Immigration details are wonderful too.
thank you so much.

Hi KHP.
Yes, they were back in St Agnes, Cornwall in 1891, 1901 and 1911.
I have a death for John in 1925, buried Mount Hawke, 29 3 1925,
oops just noticed I gave his birth as 1847, should be 1857

That is ok, we like to ask, to save doubling up on info that you might already have.
