Trying to track down a birth record for Jacob Small. He appears on the 1851 Census being aged 26 and has his birth place as Curry Rivel. I can't seem to find many online resources that cover births for that 1825 period so a lookup would be most helpful.
Thanks

Good Afternoon
The records for Curry Rivel are supposedly on FreeReg for the period.Looking at the site they are there but no baptism for a Jacob.Marriages for the date he married are not on there ,so no luck there.
However apparently his death certificate gives parents of Joseph Small and Mary Hail.
There is a marriage at St James Ashwick 7.8.1797
Joseph Small and Mary Heal both of this parish witnesses John Bath and James Emery.
Their daughter Ruth is christened at Curry Rivel 17.3.1818 to Joseph and Mary labourer.
On the 1841 census at Curry Rivel
Joseph Small 65 mason y
Mary 65 y
Ruth 20 y
1851
Joseph Small 80 pauper former mason Bineger
Mary 80 Chewton Mendip
Ruth 32 glover Curry Rivel
Mary Ann 6 grand daughter same.
They seem to be baptising their other children elsewhere.
James 6.7.1800 Ashwick
Charles 16.7.1809 Binegar
Mary Ann 27.12.1811 bapt 26.1.1812
William 19.3.1815 Binegar from Ashwick mason
Ruth 18.11.1818 Binegar from CR mason
Jacob Small at Binegar born 6.7.1821 bapt 29.7.1821 mason
It does look like Jacob is living with his older brother Joseph born 1798and also a mason in 1841 at Brislington.
I know it's a bit out but you could buy Jacob's marriage certificate Sep 1849 Langport 10 585 to confirm this.

Thanks Ciderdrinker. That helps enormously ;D. I had seen Mary Hail on other trees but wasn't sure where they were getting the name from, I will dig out the death certificate and have a look.
Think I might have to spend some of my hard earned pennies on a marriage certificate too.
Thanks again, you've been a great help.
