I am trying to decipher a broken headstone at Milltown. It says ... Heaney ... of his mother | ... A. Heaney | Died 14th Decr 1924| His Dearly Beloved Wife. (ends here)
Can anyone fill in the missing words?
Thanks!

We would need to see the headstone, have you got a photo or a link?

Well...it's broken. I was hoping someone had a transcription or index. I think the one name is probably Mary, but can't assume that.

The image helps see what you need.
Difficult one.
NI Direct appears to have a death record for a Heaney 14 Dec 1924 but you need credits to see it.

Thanks. I tried a search for Mary which is what I suspected given the y ending and the A. next to Heaney. That got a match. Thanks for the help!

Hi chrisnina,
just saw your message about a broken headstone. have you looked up any
death notices in the old papers, you have the surname and the full date.
why does it say, mother on one line and wife at the bottom?
please let us know if you find the answer.
best of luck, william

just looking at the photo of the headstone, could it be there are two
heaney`s in the grave? his mother then his wife?
