Title: Identify this Uniform
Post by: candychris1954 on Saturday 30 August 14 17:51 BST (UK)
Hello its me again.  This time my grandfather born 1884 is in Uniform here (possibly 2 different ones as his cap in one has ear covers on and the other one doesnt).  Id like to know what Uniform he was in as I was only aware that he was a Gas Fitter and I thought he didnt go to War because of this.  Can anyone help ?

Trench cap? - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/British-WW1-Winter-Trench-Cap-/271284466137 - and if the tunic has no pleats in the breast pockets it will date to 1915-16 when there was a shortage of tunic material.
