My great great grandmother was France's Ellen taplin b 1859 hartley Wintney  d 1938 farnborough
Her father John taplin b 1821 d 1871 both fleet, Hampshire

The is a place in hartley Wintney called taplins farm. Having come across the surname of taplin I was curious to know if there was a connection as I presume the taplins farm originated from somewhere.
