Title: Bodmin Asylum records
Post by: bramble9 on Wednesday 20 August 14 19:50 BST (UK)
Hi everyone

Can anyone advise if patient records from Bodmin are available to view anywhere? My ancestor was admitted in 1909 and I'm really curious to read more about his case if possible.

Thanks so much in advance :)

Hi!

In addition to the aforementioned 2 x great grandfather, I had another 2 x great grandfather who died there in 1943.

This time I emailed the Cornish Records Office and they kindly replied back to me via email giving the reason for his admittance, cause of death etc, which I was really pleased about, seeing this all occurred less than 100 years ago.  This poor chap had dementia.
