Can anyone tell me where early records are kept for the children that were in this orphanage please @1904 - 1918.

copy of message from another board.
The orphanage/convent you mention was run by the Sisters of Mercy. St Jospeph's NS has now closed, but the school building is used as the HQ for the Sisters of Mercy in the West of Ireland. So if records exist, which they should, they would know.

Hi, back in 2007 i contacted Evelyn O`Hanlon regarding records.
What records i did manage to find, were doctored and in places blanked out.

Good luck, just don't hope for to much, many records were destroyed in order to hide what we all now know what these orphanages & industrial schools became more known for.
