Looking for a record to Walker George Augustine Edward Hugh Thomas (all the same person using all names) BROXHOLME. Son of Edwin and Betsy. born abt 1894 in Wragby. I am trying to compare him with another Walter BROXHOLME b. to Edwin and Betsy abt 1894. Maybe the 1901 census for Wragby would show if the two exist as one or if they are brothers or if it is a mistake in typing.
Thanking you in advance

This is the only one registered on Freebmd - Broxholm with no e. Wragby comes under the Horncastle registration district.

I cant see anyone else of that name. It looks like a spelling mistake to me, where did you find it?

I can only see one baptism on familysearch for Walker George Augustine Edward Hugh Thomas Broxholme from parish record extracts, it suggests he was baptised at / around the time of his death in 1953. No Walter Broxholm(e) on that site.

Thank you everyone for your help. I found this name here: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NF9J-Y9Y,
The only problem is this is the only place I found the name. Is there a birth record any where else for Walter b. 1894 to Edwin BROXHOLME and Betsy SHARP? I'm thinking they might be the same person.
Thank you so much!

I tend to agree with groom that the Walter shown on the census or Walker shown on the baptism might be a spelling mistake, I will have another look round for any births

As groom mentioned on freebmd there is only one possibility i.e. Walter Broxholm 1894, if you can obtain this birth cert it will give you the mother's maiden name etc.
Also the death record in 1953 shows the name as Walter, so I reckon possibly the Walker is the spelling mistake.

Thank you so much, all of the replies are helpful. Could you tell me how to go about getting the birth record/certificate from the United States?

You need to get it from the GRO. http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/default.asp
Use the details I gave you below, but please check them on Freebmd before you complete the form

The Walter Broxholme dying in 1953 is in the probate indexes, though no Will, only Administration not Probate. He has no other middle names in that record. Admin to widow Gertrude.

Eileen - for some reason can only post attachments on general board not lookups board. have tried myself in the past ::)
