Post by: di swaffield on Tuesday 28 June 05 20:26 BST (UK)
Could someone please look for the following people on the 1851 census, they both came from the Wiveliscombe area of Somerset and they were there in 1861

Ann Stone c1822
Charles Stone c1842

Regards Dianne

Hi Sue

Yes this could be them but if they are both unmarried why would they have different surnames if they are sisters

Hi,

I have no idea why the surnames are different.  I looked at the image and it is quite clear (for a nice change).

Perhaps one to file away in case the connection becomes obvious later,

Sue
