Title: Looking for ALLMAN

Hello all. I am looking for a friend's mother. He was born in Nantwich in 1943 and given up for adoption. He has made many searches for his birth mother but was told that the office that held the information burnt down years ago and he wouldn't be able to get the information he requested. I have searched a lot online and have found a person who could be the birth mother. She was called Gladys May Allman before she married, but then was Gladys May Davies. If I have the right person from the ancestry website she married a man called Edwin J Davies. I saw on this rootschat site that there is a grave in Nantwich for a Edwin John and Gladys May Davies.  Can anyone help me find any living relatives, or send me a picture of the graves? Thanks

Welcome to Rootschat :)
We are not allowed to mention living or possibly living people on Rootschat.
You may be able to find a marriage and possible siblings on www.freebmd.org.uk, Nantwich registration district is (from1937) Crewe, and work from there. If your friend is there then he could apply for his birth certificate using the reference which might shed some light.

There are a number of possible children born to DAVIES mothers maiden name ALLMAN between 1933 - 1943 in area on http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl

Put in from year of marriage, and SURNAME Davies, MMN Allman, the area born,
(I put Cheshire) and they will come up. As above states from 1937 reg dist was Crewe. Cannot post as some/all maybe living.

Maybe you will get your friends birth registration and those of siblings to take you further for him. Needs to be confirmed with certificates though, that above was his possible parents.
