WE have just unearthed two Queen Victoria Jubilee medals from 1887. The inscription around the outside seems to say BORN 1819 CROWNED 1838 MARRIED 1840. In the center it reads VICTORIA JUBILEE 1887. On the reverse, the inscription at the top says WEAR ONLY F. DUNN BOOTS and underneath it gives the proprietor's addresses at Sleaford, Brigg and Retford. I've never seen or heard of these medals before and wondered if anyone could enlighten me further?

Sounds like a souvenir medal of Victoria's 50th year?
