I have just found this very old and falling to pieces photo and wondered if anyone could do something to improve it. Probably taken somewhere in the 1940's but don't know much more than that.
Many thanks

Dear all
These are just amazing! The photo I have is so faded and torn around the edges with pieces missing I'm bowled over by what you have all done. It means so much, thank you. We only have one photo of my late grandfather to date and I think this is another (which my dad will be able to confirm) and we have just found it so it means a lot.
Best wishes

Thank you so much. I think I've narrowed the year the photo was taken down to between 1920 - 1928 and I believe it was in Lagos. Victor worked out there during this period and the white suite and cane chair he is sitting in would match perfectly

Thanks Brit2015.
What has become so evident is how much my dad and grandad look alike.
We are very proud of him as Victor volunteered in 1915 at the age of 16 years (like a lot of other young teenagers did and was injured in the Battle of the Somme). We only have this photo and one other so it has been great to see a very tired and torn photo brought to life.
Thanks everyone
Lottee
