Would love it if anyone could offer a date and age thoughts for this pic and fix his face if possible  :)

Oh my thats wonderful, thank you all they are fantastic!!

Didn't know he could be scrubbed up that well  :)

I feel he could be my 2 x Great Grandfather John Saunders born in 1851 but don't know if that would tie in with the age of the picture?

I dont have scans of the original yet, this was taken on a mobile phone of it, but it is abt 7 x 5 and stuck onto card to create a border. Nothing written on the front or reverse.

We don't want to see anything written, we want to see the printed design on the back of the cardstock. Post a scan if you can :)

He would of been 50 in 1901 so don't know if that ties in with the age of the picture or not?  :)

Hi everyone, I have finally managed to get the orignal picture to scan so you can fully see the front and back to hopefully help with dating  :)
