Mary Anne Douglas died aged 72 on the 27 October 1949 in Maryhill Glasgow. Is it possible to find where she was buried.

The recently Digitised Lair Records for all of Glasgows cemeteries are I believe now held at the Mitchell Library and any enquiries to Glasgow Cemeteries Department are now redirected there. Unfortunately the records are not available online.

Thank you Falkyrn for the reply.

Even that is an improvement measurable in light years compared to the expense of accessing the information by contacting the Cemeteries Department.

I had a look at the Glasgow Herald death notices for 27th October - 2nd November 1949, and there is no mention of Mary Anne Douglas. I looked for "Douglas" - if that's not her married name, she might be there, as I only looked at the initial surnames.

She maybe wasnt buried at all but maybe was cremated.
