Post by: Bgatty68 on Monday 28 July 14 10:30 BST (UK)
Hi Guys i am looking to trace my Irish roots, and have got information about my grandfather and grandmother who i have been told have passed away, but they lived at 20 Chapel street Dundalk and my grandfather Thomas Joseph Duffy was a pig dealer, and my grandmother Mary Duffy whose maiden name was McCaffery. If anyone has any information from around that area i would like to hear from them.

Some dates might help the search but here is one possibility in the 1911 census:

Dear sir Madam. Tommy Duffy went to the same school as my father Bernard Matthews. Do you know if they were friends as I only have one school photograph of my father as a young boy. It is a school photograph with my father in the second row fourth lad along from the left, with Tommy in the middle in the front row. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Yours. Alphonsus 123.
