I am looking for a burial for James Battle. He died on 19 Sept 1924 and is buried in Ford Cemetery.

Hi there
Have you got a subscription to Ancestry?....they have Liverpool, England, Catholic Burials, 1813-1988 including Ford Cemetery. If you haven't, Ancestry are offering free access over this upcoming weekend..
Once you've got a plot number, you might have luck in an inscription/photo of any headstone on this website

Good luck!
Sarah :)

This burial was in a public grave. They paid for a single burial and did not buy the whole plot so unfortunately there won't be a gravestone.
Name: James Battle
Age: 44
Address: 47 Kent Street
Burial Date: 19 Sep 1924
Grave: SJ 1415
Parish: Ford Cemetery, Lancashire, England

Blue70 Thank you so much, I appreciate the information on James Battle's grave. Gail

Hi Sarah, I tried that but couldn't find his burial no. It has since been pointed out to me, so now I know where to look on the page for the burial letters that belong with the numbers.
Thank you so much for your help,
Regards,
Gail

I am also looking for someone buried at Ford Cemetery. Her name is Mary Daly. She was buried December 2, 1915. She was 66 years old. I suspect she was also buried in a public grave due to the fact that they were very poor. If anyone has any other information it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Jen Daly

Wow! Thank you so much!
:)
I just added a link to my reply for a Plan of Ford Cemetery
-
Perfect! Do you suspect that this is a shared grave without a headstone?
-
Actually I just read that section I is a private grave which surprises me!
-
I’m just about to go offline - do you know of any other Daly family members that were buried at Ford Cemetery?
-
No, not to my knowledge. Most of our Daly's are buried in Bristol, Devon or London.

Hi Jean
What section is it? If the section is missing and the grave has been used multiple times then it will be a public burial. If it's definitely a private grave Ozranga is the person to ask here but you will need to give her the private section and the grave number so have a look again at the burial record:-

Section A is a public section so the other people in the grave will not be related.
