I am trying to find the burial for Thomas French, d. 1911 and was living on Lily Lane , Bamfurlong, Abram in 1911. I know one of his sons Samuel French was buried at St John the Evangelist in 1937:
Burial: 16 Aug 1937 St John the Evangelist, Abram, Lancs.
Samuel French -
Age: 71 years
Abode: 106 Warrington Road Abram
Grave: 431 E N.G.
Buried by: John Tanner Vicar of Bickershaw
Register: Burials 1918 - 1945, Page 151, Entry 1203
But there doesn't appear to be a burial for his father at the same church.
Can anyone please locate Thomas' burial and possibly the MI? Also, does anyone have access to the MI's for St John's the evangelist and hence the MI for Samuel?
Many thanks

Thank you garstonite. Yes all three French burials are connected to Samuel d.1937. Jane his wife, William their son and Samuel their grandson. With Thomas living on Lily Lane, Bamfurlong I was hoping that he too would be buried at St John The Evangelist. Wondering if anyone who knows the area could suggest other graveyards to check.
Many thanks

There are a number of cemetery indexes for the Wigan area on the Wigan World website. Have you tried them?

I have Gibel, I found another son of Thomas buried at Westwood Cemetry, William who died in 1959. But still no sign of Thomas in 1911. Beginning to think he may be buried nearer to St Helens...perhaps Parr or Eccleston as this is where his family came from originally.

There is a burial of a Thomas French in St Helens Cemetery aged 69 which would fit spot on with the death in the Hindley district of `your` Thomas French.
