It would give us a better starting point for research if you tell us the dates that you already know.

Hi Sorry, should have included that I suppose ;D Henry Mark Fyfe was born in W.A in 1907. He served in the army and was married first to Ruby Gladys Young in Perth Western Australia. They had 2 boys Arthur and Stanley, after the war he left his family and moved over to Queensland I believe. He married Martha Amelia ??? She had a son called Frank already. They then moved to New Zealand where they both died.
Thanks Pauline

Hi Pauline, :)
I guess you have seen his digitised war service record http://recordsearch.naa.gov.au/scripts/Imagine.asp?B=6458161
This says he was born 18 Jan 1906 in Perth, Western Australia (and has a photo :)  )

I found a couple of snippets about him on trove (digitised newspapers) - he was a taxi driver in Perth.

Do you know the parents' names?

regards,
   Ros

This seems relevant to the family - A and S FYFE remembering their FYFE nanna's death who died 13 years ago (published in 1949 ...so died c 1936)
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article47660251

Looking at WA BDM http://www.bdm.dotag.wa.gov.au/_apps/pioneersindex/default.aspx for a death of a female FYFE c 1936
FYFE Maude F in Perth 1935 reg # 738

Funeral notice says she was wife of William and mother of Harry and others http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article32878482
Death notice http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article38388849

I'm really just guessing ...   :)  Can you give us any more information please?

regards,
  Ros

Some memoriam notices to Maude Frances FYFE in 1946
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article50338678  one of which mentions daughter-in-law Ruby.

No I'm probably on the wrong track  :(   :-[ This memoriam notice in 1937 says son Roy, daughter-in-law Ruby and grandchildren A and S http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article41299853

But strangely her funeral notice doesn't mention a son Roy although it does mention a son Harry - was Roy his nickname possibly?

Still speculating here ...

I can't see a birth for a Henry FYFE on WA BDM in 1906-7

However William C FYFE married Maude F LEVI in 1910 in Perth reg# 102

and there is a birth
1906 Henry C M LEVI Perth reg #198

It would be a good idea to purchase Henry's marriage certificate to Ruby to find out his parents' names (if you don't know)

   Ros

Hi Pauline,
Are you sure that the grandchildren are deceased?  If not we should not be mentioning their names here.   If not sure hit the modify button and backspace over the names.

regards,
   Ros

The 1936 electoral roll shows this lady living with Henry and Ruby.  Her maiden surname was FYFE, first marriage to Hughie GOODRIDGE in 1936, second marriage to Henry WORSFOLD in 1946.  She was born in Perth in 1914.

Age:    59
Father:    William
Mother:    Maude
Registration Year:    1972

Hi, So is Henry Mark B "Roy" Fyfe prev Levi not the natural son of William C Fyfe?  Roy married Thelma Huntly the divorced wife of Claude Cecil Huntly my relative.  This name thing is becoming such a mess in this family.  I'm yet to get the approval from the Supreme Court to find the depol change of name for her son, Francis Douglas Huntly.  But if his step-father's name wasn't even Fyfe.  Thanks Debra

It's quite possible that "Roy" was the natural son of William FYFE but as the parents hadn't married by his birth, his birth was registered under the mother's surname.

I guess you have seen this snippet about the divorce of Thelma and Claude (where it says he was also known as Williams)

Yes.  I have his life story.  Where he disappeared to and his other alias's and children.  Therein lies another mess in this man's life.  Huntly, I mean.  I'm glad that changing children's names is no longer fashionable with divorcees and also not able to be done out of convenience for others.  It has made it very sad for members of this extended family not knowing about each other.  That issue about Henry would be interesting in the current situation for the grandsons that may not be Fyfe either.  Thank you for replying.
