George Patterson's wife Alice , maiden name Alice O' Conner

George Patterson's wife Alice , maiden name Alice O' Conner
As you will have seen from the information already posted on this thread, George's wife's full name was Elizabeth Alice.
What is the source of your belief that her maiden name was "O'Conner"?
It looks to me more likely that she was Elizabeth Alice Connell, daughter of Owen Connell, and that she was 23 when she married George Patterson (22, father also George) at Walton on the Hill, Lancs on 8 May 1887.

Reginald Patterson may have died 8 Jan 1960 in Southampton. His probate record mentions an Emily Patterson, widow.
-
In which case, I think Reginald Patterson married Emily Banner Dec qtr 1921, West Derby, Lancs 8b 743
-
And from the Patterson/Banner marriage I think there are 3, perhaps 4 sons born between 1922 and 1947 (doubtful about this last one, but right combination of names)
-
Brill info.......
Elizabeth Alice (O'Conner) must be wrong.... thanks for the correction
The name Banner rings a bell.........thinking .........
Wylva married Robin Partingdon last address Wheathamstead,St Albans' Herts
Might have been married twice
Info I have is she died 24th Feb 1984.
Not sure how she fits into the picture with George Patterson
-
Wylva's death index gives a date of birth as 27 Jan 1917. Looks like she married a Coombs in 1935, Southampton registration district, followed by Partington in 1964 in Hatfield registration district.
Her maiden name, I think, was Taylor.
