I live in Glencoe, Minnesota U.S.A. Here in the U.S. many people contribute & use a site called www.findagrave.com. Ordinary people go to cemetery's in their area and transcribe & photograph stones. A lot of these people (contributors) transcribe & photograph entire cemetery's. The information they collect is then up-loaded to the site. Is there a similar site in the U.K.? Findagrave has over 116 million grave entries. HUGE, HUGE resourse for genealogists.
If there is not a compariable site, I would like to encourage those of you in the Dunoon & Sandbank area to pick up this wonderful hobby. Because like me, I scaresly think I will ever make it back to Dunoon in my lifetime.
Your help would be grately appreciated by so many of us!!
