I've been trying to find John Seymour (aka Seymours), b West Boldon, Co Durham around January 1834 but to no avail.
As I know he ended up in North Yorks, I wonder if his family may have moved there when he was a child. He turns up later in the Easingwold area but for his early years I have no other family details or addresses to go on.
Any help gratefully received.

I think I may have found him in 1851, living in Hartlepool, Co Durham with his mother Ann and stepfather John Bellwood. That would tend to suggest that his early years were spent in Durham after all.
He is certainly elusive as regards censuses, not turning up again until 1881, back in Hartlepool. No sign of him in 1861 and in 1871 his wife and child are listed in Thirsk, but not him.
Anyway, it would seem that this particular request could come off the North Yorkshire board.
Thanks for your help.
