Title: Edward Daniel Clarke 1769-1822 from Dudley Digges Chilham
Post by: Breezy on Sunday 06 July 14 20:02 BST (UK)
Hello, love to know why Digges declared extinct? A search done to settle the mason dixon line produced this false report in 1859. Was it because Beaumarice Stracey was in India building churches?

Hi Breezy,

I see this is your Digges/Diggs connection;
Ann Diggs
England Marriages, 1538–1973
marriage:    6 July 1633, Chilham, Kent, England
spouse: Anthony Hamman

1851 England Census has a lot of Digges/Diggs Families although none seem to have been born or living in Kent then.

Trish :)

Yes, Anne Digges married Anthony Hammond and second marriage George Juxon in Kent.

Beaumarice Stracey was chaplain at arms and spent time in India building churches. I wonder where wills are for Dudley Digges. And Anne Digges/ Hammond/ Juxon
