Hello, I wondered if anyone may have access to the MI's for Holy Trinity church. I am not sure if she had a monument, but Rebecca Hobson was buried September 22, 1852, Holy Trinity, Hull.
Thank you kindly,

Hi Penny,
I Think I may have found her, was she related to the Thompson Family by any chance?

Thank you for your reply. Her father was Israel Hobson and her mother was Susanna Thompson. On the 1841, she was on the census with a Mary Thompson, who had a rooming house. I had thought Mary was probably an Aunt.
Thank you for your help!

Hi Penny,
Before I started sending you this I thought I had better check with you as I found this in the Monumental Insciptions taken from Holy Trinity, Castle Street Burial Ground as was. Most of stones eroded but Parish Records for Burials give an idea when died. Hopefully your Rebecca date different.
So everything below is as transcribed.
Sacred to the memory of MARY THOMPSON Who died (?) 18(5)(1,4)/ AGED (?) YRS. also REBECCA HOBSON (??) 18(42?)/ aged (?) years.
Parish Record 25 Jun 1842 Catherine Hobson, Myton, 75yrs,
PR 10 Jul 1807, Mary Thompson, Widow,
PR, 03 Sept 1807 Mary daur of Jno Thompson, Myton,
PR, 29 Mar 1857 Mary Thompson, Myton, 77yrs
PR, 22 Nov 1857, Mary daur of Edward Thompson, Myton, 12mths,
PR, 15 Aug 1832, Mary Thompson, Myton, 53yrs,
PR, 21 May 1836, Mary Thompson, Myton, 32yrs,
PR, 19 Dec 1830, Mary Thompson, Hull, 80yrs,
PR, 30 May 1859, Mary Thompson, St Mary's, 51yrs,
PR, 21 Aug 1860, Mary Thompson, Myton, 60yrs.
All buried in the same grave, I wish you all the best with that above.
Also as you will see Rebecca Hobson must have been written down as Catherine on the Parish Record entry.
I think Israel Hobson may have been born in Beverley, I have a Hobson family with some parish record entries and there was an Israel Hobson down on these entries, will check for you if you want.
All the very best with the above,

Thank you very much for your help. The Rebecca I am looking for she should have been only about 18 years old in 1852 (if it is indeed her that died in 1852). Rebecca's father Israel was from Beverley. He married three times, Rebecca Turner, Elizabeth Walker and Susanna Thompson.
Rebecca was in Kingston Upon Hull, Holy Trinity on the 1851 census and I can't find her after that. This bunch must somehow connect.

Thank you Phil. I have been trying to figure out who Israel's father is. That should help fill in the line. Thank you kindly!
