Hello,

Hope someone out there can help me. I am trying to locate the details of George Sinfield, who at one time lived in Ripley. He had a daughter called Ellen Stella Sinfield born 1907 who married William Cooper in Derby in 1928.

I know this is not a lot to go on but any details about George's family/possible spouse would be great to start me off.

Registration  - q1 1907, Belper, Derbyshire

Unfortunately we are not allowed to do 1911 lookups, however going by Ellen's pob this could be her family on the 1901 -

Do you have Ellen Stella's marriage cert and if so what occupation is given for George her father?

Thank you to you both, never ceases to amaze how helpful people are.
Havent got the marriage certificate yet but this looks like it could be the right family - theres a recollection of a great uncle Ernest in the family but is quite a common name.

Would you know if Great Uncle Ernest was called Ernest Baden Sinfield?

In 1982 Ernest B Sinfield is recorded as living at 41 Woodfield Drive, Ripley

Not sure but a good name  ;D
The family hung around in Ripley so is probably a safe bet.
