Title: The Fenner Family of Chiltington Sussex

I have seen a post about John Fenner from Chiltington who married Sarah Ellams from Tonbridge in 1749 in Pembury (PR trans Pembury 1560 - 1812). This is part of my family. Wondering if anyone in the family have heard that there is a connection with Thomas Fenner who sailed with Drake. A cousin seems certain this is so but I have my doubts.

Did you make any progress in going beyond John Fenner born 1723 died 1793 ? I think the best way forward is to get your DNA tested with Ancestry.com and to confirm your connection to the rest of us !! Best wishes in your research
