Title: 1901 census look up Pendleton Lanc.

Looking for a Letitia Stafford on the 1901 census. I have found her on the 1881 census in Pendleton.

Thank you very much.  I think Letitia (Lettice) is the sister to my grgrgrandmother.  I have looked on Free BMD and could not find a marriage of a William Stafford and a Lettice hardwick.

In 1861 there is a 14-year-old Letice Hardwick working as a house servant for Joseph Febron, Fox and Hounds, Eckington. Says she was born in Eckington, which is very near Ridgeway.

What was your gggrandmother’s name? There is a family of Hardwicks also at Eckington.

thank you very much for the information. this is a big help. My grgrandmother's name is Ann Hardwick. Parents are John and Martha Hardwick.  This is why I think that Letitia Stafford is my Ann's sister as John's mother's name was Lettice. And John and Martha had a daugther named Lettice.

thanks again for the information. Next tim I am at the family history library going to look for a marriage record for William Stafford and just cross my fingers I can find a match with a Lettice Hardwick.

Anne don't know if you are still looking .....but Lettice Hardwick married John Frost 15th Feb 1864 age 17  Ridgeway Parish Records so I don't think you have the right one.
